My internet has been messed up pretty much since my last post! But now it's up in running in tip-top shape! Anyway on to the good stuff:

First off I have to recommend a book to you all. I just read "Night" by Elie Wiesel. It's a memoir about the authors experience during the holocaust and his survival from a nazi concentration camp. I saw the authors interview on Oprah during the week and I had to read the book. It's a very profound book, it's hard to put into words how I feel about it. You sort of just have to read it for yourself. It's not very long, 120 pages. I was so gripped by it that I read it in one sitting last night.

During the time I was gone I picked up a new digital camera. My 2 Mega Pixel Cannon just wasn't doing it for me any longer. I did love that camera but I was looking for more Mega Pixels. I was going to just go with another Cannon and I was looking to spend around $300. Cannon had a nice model out for that price with 5 Mega Pixels. However Sony had one for the same exact price with 7.2 Mega Pixels. After talking with one of the sales people at Best Buy I discovered that the only difference between the two besides Mega Pixels was the digital zoom. I am not a fan of digital zoom so I decided to go with the Sony DSCW70 with 7.2 Mega Pixels. I am SO happy with my choice. The camera takes insanely large and clear pictures with the 7.2 MP. It has a large 2.5 inch color screen and built in speakers for watching video play back. The video on it is much better than I thought, I just finished watching one for the first time and I was impressed. So if you are looking for a nice little camera to take great shots this one of definently for you! Now I just need to get my hands on a better photo printer... ;)

That's all for now...

So I am an extremely crafty person and I enjoy everything craft related. I am currently very much into beading and jewelry making. My favorite element to use in my jewelry making is Swarovski crystals. They are so yummy and sparkly! Well lately I have been very interested in vintage Swarovski crystal beads and I found an excellent site to buy them. I haven't made a purchase yet but just looking at them makes me salivate. The site is pretty low-tech but the beads make up for it.

Also continuning with my love of Swarovski I have added this place to my future travel destinations. It's called Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds). It's located in Innsbruck, Austria and it's pretty much a art museum/garden/park dedicated to crystal. They even have some work in there by one of my favorites, Salvador Dali.

Speaking of Salvador Dali if you have never been you need to get down to St. Petersburg Florida and check out the Salvador Dali Museum! I checked it out in January when I was down there and I have to say it was pretty awesome! When I got there some hot guy asked me to take a really quick survey and I got a bumper sticker out of the deal that had a picture of Dali on it and it said "Get Surreal." One of my favorite pieces besides of course "Persistence of Memory" is "Gala Contemplating the Mediterranean Sea" which close up is of a nude woman looking at the sea, however when you squint or step back a ways it's Abraham Lincoln's mug. Excellent!

Today at the mall I came across two dresses that I am just drooling over.
Here is the first one (and the on I liked the most) from J.Crew. It's navy blue linen. It retails for $128. Click here for more details. It's just very simple, classic, and beautiful, everything I love in a dress. I didn't have a chance to try it on but I definently plan on it next time, even if I can't afford it. ;)

I did have a chance to try on this dress from GAP. My friend Chrissy and I both tried it on and fell instantly in love with it. It's a 100% cotton and it comes in black and a light blue color they are calling "pool." It retails for $68 however when we were at the store today they had a sale going for $20 off dresses. I didn't buy it but If it's still on sale next time I'm in there I will buy it. Click here for more info.

We also visited Urban Outfitters today. Which is one of my absolute favorite stores! I ran across these two very cute wallets. I like the tiger one because it represents my home town baseball team! And it's on sale for $14.99! The one with the dove is made of leather and suede and retails for $28.

For my fellow Metro Detroiters, you have to get to Briarwood mall in Ann Arbor and check out the new H&M! I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this store. I've been there twice since it's opened and I have bought some very cute and inexpensive pieces. It's such an awesome place for people with not so big budgets like me. I recommend going during the week either in the morning or the evening, because you know it's insane on the weekends!
